“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior." - Isaiah 43:1-3
Pamela Wilson
Pamela Wilson was called to serve—and she answered with a heart full of compassion and hands ready to work. Her journey began in 2019, preparing homecooked meals for the homeless, driven by a deep desire to care for those in need. She soon joined the Friendship-West VIP Ministry, where she helped feed over 150 people every Sunday, bringing warmth and nourishment to the community.
When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, Pamela’s mission didn’t stop—it expanded. She began preparing and delivering meals three days a week to the sick and shut-in, ensuring that even in isolation, people felt seen, loved, and cared for.
Over the years, Pamela has volunteered with numerous organizations dedicated to feeding the homeless. She credits God for every opportunity, every provision, and every connection—including meeting Donell "DJ" Akers, founder of United Friends that Feed the Homeless. DJ taught her how to cook in a commercial kitchen and how to make the most of limited resources without compromising flavor or love.
Pamela believes that serving is not just something she does—it’s who she is. She says, “God called me to serve, and I take that job seriously. It is a privilege to work for the LORD, and I am truly humbled.”
Her story is one of faith, service, and unwavering dedication to uplifting others—one meal at a time.
